FILMS "COOL" winner Ethan Kuperberg to Direct MCOF Trailer
The '06 high school division FILMSCOOL winner Ethan Kuperberg will direct the Malibu Celebration of Film's 2007 festival trailer. "We decided to keep it in the family and give our FILMSCOOL students an opportunity to further be recognized for their talents", says festival director Kim Jackson. Ethan, who continues to be mentored by FILMS"COOL" co-chair Amy Madigan and advisory board member Daniel Stern, just graduated from Agoura Hills High School and will attend Yale in the Fall.

Catch Noel Fisher star of 'Pope Dreams' which screened at the 2006 Malibu Celebration of Film, on the FX hit series 'The Riches'. The series, which will air regularly at 10 p.m. Mondays, centers on a family of travelers who goes on the run after stealing money but through an accident is provided with an opportunity to obtain to the identity of a well-to-do, "normal" family. Noel plays the part of Cael Malloy, the son of (Dahlia) Hollywood star Minnie Driver and (Wayne) British comedian Eddie Izzard

Joins the HollywoodGreenTeam to move toward greening their
annual event.
The HollywoodGreenTeam
formally announced the addition of the Malibu Celebration
of Film (MCOF), adding to the ever-growing list of entertainment-based
events looking to think and be green. By joining the HGT,
the MCOF annual September event will address the concerns
about recycling, reducing, reusing and preserving the amazing
setting of Malibu. MCOF Executive Director Kim Jackson is
pleased to be working with the HGT, saying "we all need
to be proactive in keeping not just our Malibu events green,
but keeping the entire planet at the forefront of our priorities."

Courage Award Recipient Robert Altman The recipient of the 2006 Courage
Award was Academy Award winner, the late Robert Altman.
The Altman Tribute Gala was held at the world famous Malibu

Wristbands for Longboard, Shortboard, Waverider and Emerald Pass Holders are available for pick-up at Headquarters only. Printed passes are sufficient for festival entry.
